People, Place, Purpose: The Campaign for Rodeph Sholom School
In 2016, Rodeph Sholom School embarked on a $11,500,000 campaign - the largest fundraising effort in the history of the school. As of today, we have raised over $10,800,000. The purpose of the campaign is twofold: to secure a stronger endowment and to provide physical environments appropriate for our three divisions.
We are grateful to the UJA-Federation of New York that launched a Day School Challenge early in the campaign. With their encouragement and support, we raised $7,500,000 to augment our endowment. The Day School Challenge program serves as a matching source for annual distributions on endowment dollars. As of today, our endowment revenue has tripled thanks to the UJA and our many donors and has provided our school with a predictable revenue source. These generous donors recognized the great opportunity the Day School Challenge would provide for our school, and we are pleased to acknowledge them and all our campaign donors.
We continue to invite members of the Rodeph Sholom School community to help us complete the campaign. All campaign donors will receive recognition on a plaque that will be prominently displayed for generations to appreciate.
